How soon until he is ready to mate?

I have an adult male S. carolina who matured on friday and a female who became adult on 8/28 and I want to know if he will be ready to mate on 9/18 only a week into maturity. I don't want to wait to long and have my female lay an infertile ooth when it could have been fertile.

Only way to tell for sure is to try it, he will prob be ready, I think most males are born ready! :lol:

One week should be enough, but I'm not really sure too since males vary. But at two weeks, he should definitely be ready.

He may be ready but she might not. The older they are the quicker they will mate.

unless its a Miomantis where the female can be ready to mate three days after it becomes a adult
