So Morty is my Giant African Praying Mantis. He is probably about an L7 or L8 and I cant get him to eat anything but crickets. But in the past day or 2 he hasn't eaten anything. I tried cutting a Butterworm and putting the gooey stuff up to his mandibles but he freaked out and didn't want any part of it. Any suggestions?

Perhaps he is about to molt? when mantises are about to molt they refuse food. I have had mantises push food away, totally ignore it, and right out refuse prey before they molt. When is the last time he molted? Unless he is an adult?
If he is not an adult he may be about to molt. Wait a day or two to see if he molts.
