Can you guys tell me how you sell mantises? I may sell some soon but I want to see what other people are doing so I have an idea what I have to do.

Put an ad in the For Sale/Wanted section stating what you are selling.

Do you charge people for packaging?
Not for packaging, as I didn't really pay for it myself anyway, I just reuse boxes or get new ones at the post office, but I do charge for shipping in most cases.

I use recycled boxes or the free flat rate USPS boxes. If I use a 72hr heat pack I may tack on an extra buck or two. I wouldn't charge for packaging.

Tips:

- Read buyer's feedback before the deal if available.

- Pack well and ship on the day promised or agreed upon and always provide a tracking number. One of the first signs of a potential bad deal is the package not being shipped on the agreed upon date.

- Never sell or agree to trades for specimens you don't have in your possession as it's a violation of forum rules.

- Check weather for delivery route. Most good sellers will let you know if you need special packaging during winter or if you should pay for Express delivery. The standard seems to be to offer a live arrival guarantee (LAG) for Express, but not always for Priority depending on weather. If specimens arrive dead, request photos of dead specimens within 24hrs of receipt.

Here is an excellent post on packaging posted by one of the greats. You will have better success by using his methods. 👍
