Which shipper do you guys perfer? What type of shipping? Do you send food with the mantids? For species that need humidity and heat do you at a heat pack and mist the cup prior to shipping?

Danny

This time of year, no extra heat is needed. However as winter draws in, it will be good to use a heat pack.

I never spray them, as the tubs won't get a chance to dry out. It will not effect them not having water overnight.

Hope this helps :)

Welcome. Be sure to check out the introductions forum.

Pretty much same as Ian on the shipping. I do not include any food.

Priority mail typically takes 3 days. I've had it take 4+ days way more often than it taking 2days.

If you want 2 day service, you need Express mail.

I have had mixed results with priority mail (I buy plants often from TX). I would say that the average number of days for a small box to get here, to Southern CA from TX via priority mail is 5 days.

I would say that your shipping method would depend on what you are shipping and what time of the year you are shipping them.
