I bought a sweet Rosie today!

I just wanted to share with everyone that I bought a beautiful Rose Hair tarantula today. She's SO PRETTY! I've held her for a little bit and she's surprisingly light-footed. And when I moved my hand a little, I felt little hooks on her feet hold onto my skin. It didn't hurt or anything... it was so cool! I might have to buy one for myself now, seeing as this little cutie is a Christmas present for my boyfriend. :lol: lol!

Its bad enough one of my managers just found out I have chameleons, geckos,beardies and now mantids...I wonder what he would think of me if he found out what I feed all of them with.

Most people have a hard time taking care of a dog! let alone taking the time to care for all the things you stated, so don't be embarrassed be proud that you have a better understanding of mother nature than they do or probably ever will?

after all not everyone can do what we do, in reality only a special few can. probably like 1 in a 1,000,000,000 even try.

Well now I HAVE to post pictures! Look at how CUTE she is!!!

She's sitting on top of a Tech Deck ramp. She has the weirdest enclosure. :lol:

beautiful chillie looks like the RED species to me which are slightly nicer than the normal rose

i had a male chillie but i gave him away when he molted to adult so he could sow his wild oats

Ts are great i currenly keep a mexican red knee (brachypelma smithi) a mexican flame knee (brachypelma auratum) a - Yucatan rustrump tarantula (brachypelma epicureanum)

and an orange babboon tarantua (Pterinochilus murinus)

Thanks! That's great that she's the nicer kind, because I love holding her. I don't think we (my bf and I) will be going out and buying any other species, though. We saw some others at the pet store and they all looked really mean and tried to attack the lady who was helping us.

My mom would have a heart attack if I brought home another one. I convinced my dad to buy me a 2 inch pink toe once, it was active and friendly. My mom caught word of it and ran out of the house. 2 inches isn't even big for a T, but it was a fun pet for the 4 hours I had it.

Haha, yeah. My boyfriend's mom FLIPPED OUT when she caught word that he was getting one the next morning. As for MY mom... she looked like she was going to faint when I showed her the pictures of his T on my little digital camera screen. lol :lol:

yes ive 2 really nasty Ts and 2 pussycats , chillies are a lovely docile T but ive seen some nasty chillies too so be carefull!!!

Oh, this one is a big sweetie! We hold her all the time and she's never even given a threat display. She walks up to the glass nearest people and watches (or listens/feels).
