I can't keep my mantis still for pics

My mantis won't stop running when I open his cage. He's so small but he can jump so far. He's only 1.5cm and he can jump 3/4 of a foot at least. Even though I feed him, he still runs a lot but when I close his cage he stops moving. Why is that? After a big meal he still won't stop running and by the way i need help to indentify my mantis and what instar it is. He's a little light green fella with an extemely bright green stripe on his back. I found him in my garden in Malaysia. He's 1.5cm long if that helps identifying what instar he is.

You can resize it with a host of programs, even Microsoft Paint.

Hi thanks for the help. I got the pic to be come smaller. BTW I know friendofgeckos, He's my classmate. He introduced me to this forum. Really helped me a lot. Well any way, heres the pic and sorry i couldn't get a clearer pic. I don't have a very good camera. Please help me identify what species and instar he is. I found him in my garden. He's getting fat. Really fat. Either that or he's a female. Can't really count the segments under his/her abdomen. Too small. Should he/she go on a diet?

the more food it eats the faster it will grow.the more they eat the slower they become..a mantis with a fat belly is more likley to sit still than a mantis that is hungry.some of mantids love to fly when there hungrey but soon as there full on food they dont fly.

Can someone please help me identify what species my mantis is? Help me identify what instar it is too. It looks sorta like a Tropidomantis tenera but no red eyes. it 1.5cm. Help please?

Collin, look like tripidomantis.It has a light green stripe on its back right?The one in the other topic also has a green line
