I found a beetle in my meal worms and it seems way to small to be a darkling beetle. is it just a really small darkling or something I should be worried about? This batch of worms was from the store and went into a brand new culture. So it wont cost me a lot if I have to toss it. DSCN0224.JPG

Dermestid beetle maybe? They eat dead insects and are quite common with feeder crickets.

It looks to be a member of the Carabidae family, the ground beetles. I have several different species where I live, and they all look pretty similar, besides size. Some are the smallest beetles I have ever seen, a quarter of the size of this guy. This looks like one of the larger species.
