Found this guy wandering around the apartment

I think perhaps it is a Scotophaeus blackwalli (aka: "Mouse Spider")

Does this look close to what you have there? :]

I believe that's the spider. I was a little skeptical since they are european, but more research enlightened me to the fact that were introduced and proliferate in this part of the world, Southern California.

I see gnaphosids like this inside my house each fall. Occasionally there is one with whitish markings that's quite striking.
