Identify this bug please!

Can anyone identify this bug? I found it on my hand after a walk through the woods in South Carolina (I was trying to find ooths or mantids) It is approximately half a cm long and very flat.

Now kill it with fire. Thrips are a major pain, though not as bad as scale.
