My third Idolomantis had his second bad molt, lost another leg and both grips, wrecked arm. He is left with two half formed legs, one stumpy half leg, and broken arm in short. I probably should have let him pass but I removed the remaining stuck molt and put him in ICU (mantis style) and he is doing o.k. Eats well and tries to catch prey, pulls himself around on one arm.

Anyhoo, he is ready to molt again and I put tape on his legs since he can't grip at all or hook. He seems actually content to hang upside down finally.

Does anyone else have any other ideas as to how to help him? I know its a lot of trouble for a mantis but he eats like nuts and is very active for an Idolo. Hoping his legs get better on his next attempt.

Oh, and he is a L3-L4.

Still in the process. They take forever. But he is refusing food so I think I'kk find out in a four days.

Update, today I tried to feed him and he took 7 flies. I guess he is still not ready to molt. He is behind a week and a half from his other sibling Idolos. We play the waiting game now.

Thanks @Little Mantis and @MantisGirl13 for the good karma.

7 flies?! Well, he is certainly not going to molt yet! I hope he molts soon, but you are taking very good care of him, so I hope he makes the molt!
