Base jumping with a wingsuit. Not something you just go and do. I can guarantee those guys have many thousands of skydives, hundreds if not thousands of base jumps, and not to mention many wingsuit jumps. Being a skydiver I find wingsuit base jumping amazing but it takes a lot of skill and there is little room for error. Make no mistake, they're not flying, they are falling. Oh, and I'm moving this as it does not belong in the general mantis discussion forum.

Oh great, Tinkerbell was on my desk when I played this. Now she wants one of these suits. There are just some things you don't show a mantis with tiny nub wings.

My mantis was on my desk too. Her eyes were glued to it. Then she started climbing the screen. I think she wanted to enter the screen and start flying.

This is one of my favorite base jumping wingsuit vids. This guy is one of the best. Sadly he just broke both legs when he impacted a mountain:

oh wow. they might still be falling but I guess that is the closest to flying we are going to get with contemporary tech! So sorry to hear about Mr. Corliss... at least it's comforting that he's had some wondrous and worthwhile experiences, especially since any one of us could've broken our legs while crossing the road to preschool

Thanks for sharing guys. We are all better-off, I think, for having seen those clips.

Wingsuits are so cool. But so dangerous. Crazy how fast they go! Really freaky when the Jeb Corliss guy in Rick's video almost hit that guy with the camera!
