I received an Iris oratoria ooth today from JOOSSA. The care sheet recommends higher temps for incubation. To facilitate this, I have added a riser in my Dubia roach colony on the "cool" side. It will keep it a constant 85-95 with plenty of humidity. Double duty and quite convenient as the roaches space is not affected.

I must say! You will not be disappointed in Joossa stock. I'm now up to my 6th generation of Iris oratoria. :) If you listen to what he sez, you cant go wrong! :) Good luck! :)

All went well. Hatched, raised, mated, and ooths laid. Now what? Do these need a diapause period or will they just hatch? I'd like to maybe keep some in the fridge like chinese ooths for next year hatch and release. Maybe I can get these living in my area, but I don't know if they will. I have 3 laying females depositing ooths left and right. I never kept track of the laying dates and they have been just left in with the females and kept in the same conditions. Nothing has hatched, yet, but I'll know when one does.
