Any tips or hints?

Experiences? Suggestions?

I haven't even thought of them as feeders (they are quite small) but the Prof decided we needed a colony of them.

I am uncertain how I will prevent escaping larvae.

Hi, these grow grow slowly, are a pest species, always escape, etc.

They're related to waxworms except waxworms aren't invasive species. I'd go with waxworms. :D

Unfortunately, the prof wants them kept to show people as part of our extension work. So I am stuck with them, whether I use them as feeders or not.

Okay. So I'd raise them on some wheat bran mixed with honey mixed with flour and keep them at 85(F)+ so they go on with their life cycle faster. Of course, you could ween them on just flour but only 1 out of about 500 would live.

PS I've used and sold them as a feeder for darts lol
