I have had a dead leaf mantis female for a year now and it finally laid an ooth. I never got a male so I am assuming it is infertile. If this species can perhaps be parthogenic at times like other mantises please tell me if this ooth will ever hatch. The mantis is guarding her egg case like there are babies inside lol. She has been guarding it for 3 days now. The ooth is 3 inches long.
