inter species mating?

Hi All,

So, my female giant aisan live in a cage outside. This morning, I found two wild male chinese mantises hanging out on her cage.

So I said, what the heck, and openned the door (her fat butt is not going anywhere).

This eveing, one of the male wild Chinese mantids had entered the cage (all on his own) and mounted her.....

Will this result in a fertile ooth? Will I get some hybrin nymphs? That would be cool. Giant aisans and chinese are very similar looking...but it would still be cool.

The Ooth wont hatch.

In the one and a million chance it does, they would be weak and infertile.

They will mate. I've done it. Doesn't work though.

I'll bring her inside, then, so she won't keep distracting them. There's at least one female Chinese mantis in my yard that I've seen....
