Hi, my name is Joe. I'm originally from NJ but have ended up in AL. I'm married and have a daughter. My family and I share our several acres with our dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, goat, ferret, and two tarantulas. Yeah, it's already a full house, but not so much that I can't squeeze in a mantis or two. ;)

I have kept(sporadically) reptiles and inverts—including mantids—since childhood. I would like to ease myself back into the hobby with a focus on mantids and roaches. I am currently keeping 27 Chinese Mantis nymphs and have several ooths incubating(Carolina). My property affords me access to most resident species. However, I intend to re-explore the keeping of more "exotic" species as well.

I would like to extend a big thank you to this forum for having this rusty, ol' hobbyist. I look forward to making new friends and learning along the way.

Welcome to the forum(from So FL)! This website is great for beginners and more experienced keepers. Do A LOT of browsing through the forum to see if a question you have has been answered or asked, if you can't find anything, feel free to post your predicament ;) Welcome to the hobby and you'll get hooked on more than just one or two exotics :D

Cheers,

Andrew

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I got carried away with the like button(blame fb) and met my quota for the day.

Yeah, Jersey was scary but so is 'Bama—in a different kind of way. *ner ner ner ner ner ner ner ner* *wrong turn* ;)
