is it okay to feed a dying male to a healthy female?

Depends on your personal views. I usually wait until the male is gone though. The male is good nutrition for the next batch of eggs.

I just did this last night, there's no sense in letting all those nutrients go to waste. However I'd only do this if he's dying of old age, if there's any chance he's dying of an infection I'd pass.

I have had an experience with a female that died young, once she died i fed her to the other female (talking Hierodula) and this is what i believe cause the SECOND female to become sick.

Agreed. If it's dying because of illness, don't feed it to another mantis. Dispose of the diseased carcass and sanitize it's old habitat.

If it's dying because of old age, then it's totally up to you whether to feed or not. All systems go! :)
