Is it possible to molt/grow too fast?

So I had a few nymphs molt today, which was odd because they only molted to L3 9 days ago. Something I noticed on one of the Polyspilota griffinii is the colour seemed awfully like cream and almost translucent, like the new shell wasn't ready yet. Is it possible they molted too soon and the new shell isnt ready?

I would say no. A mantis molts when its original exoskeleton is too small for its growing body. I had a ghost molt to adult. She came out as a pale light brownish grey then after three days she turned green! So I would save give them time for their new exoskeleton to harden and turn to its appropriate color

Yeah I know they look a lot different right after a molt than they do the next day, my hierodulas won't stay bright green but they'll darken. I'm more worried this one seems almost translucent on the underside.

There has been a couple instances where after moults in quick secession the mantis has died. So yes it is possible.
