Is that Mold on my rapashi fruitFly food?

Hey guys

anyone here familiar with rapashi superfly food?

i have 3 cultures that seem to have a layer of lighter discolouration at the exact same place. I followed the instructions to a T.

is this normal?

It's most likely layering and completely normal. If it's a melanogaster culture, you'll start seeing larva layering around day 8. For hydei it's around 14 days. That's my guess.
