Received an adult pair of Madagasca Marble mantis (Polyspillota Aeruginosa), this pair is smaller than the adult P. Aeruginosa i have ever seen before... about only 6 cm. So are they P. Aeruginosa?

Thanks in advance!

At present, only two species are known from Madagascar, P. aeruginosa and another larger, more robust one. So this specimens may well be P. aeruginosa, despite the size. However, a photo of the hindwings and the pronotum would be helpful to clarify this point.

Regards,

Christian

Thanks Christian! Here are two more pics taken earlier, sorry it wasn't too good but hopefully that helps.Trying to capture her threat pose so her hindwings are exposed.... but she is just happy eating :(
