ok I set up the griffin ooth this morning for hatching it is set up on a table that is only getting what light there is the room (no artifical lights)

is this set up ok do I have to do anything different? It looks brighter than it is because I put light on to take take pics

Is there a feeding hole, so you can feed nymphs without any escaping?

Will that screening hold fruit flies? If it does, where did you get it? :)

feeding hole thats what I forgot :(

it is called "no see um" netting I got mine from Amazon and think Rebecca sells it also

and yes it keeps fruit flies in YIPEEE

easy fix feeding hole added to the side :)

It's ok.

I have made feeding holes into containers after oothecae have hatched. I have also had an ootheca hatch that was just laying in a shallow dish on the table in my bug room. Lol!

At least you will be prepared now. :D

I must get some of that screen!

 
Make sure when you do a search for it you do get No See Um mesh as the knockoffs are nowhere near as good. You can usually buy it in small amounts all the way up to a 100' roll or more but its not cheap.

I just shoved the whole deli cup in a net cube.

I have to say I love these net cubes.

I can get in and out of there pretty well with no escapees!!!

thats why I like the front open enclosures way less escapees and I dont have to stun the flies to get them in there
