Joe is an enthusiastic hobbyist who names each and every pet mantis he has and has, in fairly short time, become quite a proficient breeder.
I just completed an exchange (decidedly in my favor) with Joe. He was very generous with his initial offer of free mantises and then allowed me to offset some of the inequity by accepting a couple mantises in return.
He really cares for his pet mantises and the results are in! I think he has about a dozen species under his belt now and shows no signs of burning out. I offered him a few more mantises that hatched since my initial shipment and he made the wise decision to hold off until some of his current holdings reach the next stage of feeders.
