Just curious- Who's in Wisconsin (or northern IL)?

Always good to know who's close, right? I've gotten one friend into mantids up here, but I always wish I wasn't such a loner in that regard.

I live in Northern Illinois. About 30 minutes west of Chicago. I don't know anyone around me that collects Mantids.

Oh, that's right. I'm from Rockford, IL originally, so I go there occasionally, though I guess that's still over an hour from you.

Nope, sorry. I'm in Nebraska. I'm only posting here because I thought I'd mention I do know one member (Entomo-logic) personally. He works at the Henry Doorly Zoo about 20 min. from my house. I'm pretty sure he does a lot of business with Yen.

I like the Japanese Gardens in Rockford. That place is nice in the summer time.

I guess its just you and me in Wisconsin. Haven't been keeping any mantids for a while though. This spring I think I am going to go with just a pair of mantids, not sure what kind yet though.

I have one close to home too. It's nothing like the Rockford garden though. It suffices when I need a Japanese garden fix.
