It's been a long, hard, hungry winter for my two remaining mantids, Keket and Ptolemy. I'm ashamed to admit their care deteriorated as I began treatment for a serious illness. But they vowed to hold on -- and hold on they did. I'm absolutely astonished that these two Blepharopsis mendica were at L2 last August (2014) - and as of today, May 28, 2015 are STILL subs !! I've got some energy back and buckled down to get them in a very warm environment with more feedings. Thank God Pennsylvania is starting to warm up. Both these guys got their first fat wild moths of the season this evening. They danced and wiggled with glee as the moth fur flew. Here is Keket on the outside deck, enjoying her first sunbaff. She was soooo happy!
