There are 8 mantises in Korea.
The biggest mantis is 'Tenodera sinensis'. The first picture. It's 8-10cm (4-5 inch)
* In Korea, we confused 'Tenodera sinensis' and 'Tenodera aridifoloa'.
but recently, some researches say
"They are different kinds of species each other."
('Tenodera aridifoloa' lives in South-East Asia, 'Tenodera sinensis' live in Korea, Japan, China ect..)
So nowadays we called them 'Tenodera sinensis'.
----
The smallest mantis is 'Amantis nawai'
it's just 1-2cm (0.5-0.8 inch)
female doesn't have wings. but male has.
'Amantis nawai' is special mantis. Because female reproduces without male.
but sometimes they mate together.
To be continued..
