I just received 3 ghosties, all look to be female and L2 (I think L2...) I put them in 32 oz deli cup with coconut husk, a piece of driftwood, an air plant, and an artificial flower.

I fed them all one hydrei before I put them in, and their abdomens now look plump.

Until what instar should I definitely separate them by?

eta: the foam on the upper right is the feeding/water-spraying port and the two screens on opposite sides are for ventilation. Are those screens appropriate for ventilation?

Your setup looks fine, and you do't even have to separate them, but if you feel that you need to separate them, I would do it around L3-4. Also, with ghosts you cannot tell gender until at least L3-4.

Ghost are fine communally as nymphs but males and females should be separated into two groups at adulthood. Not only to prevent the obvious from happening but also because females often try to eat males, especially if a male approaches when they are not receptive to mating.
