Anyone know if like red back widow's can southern widow's get red stripes down their back? Its not a full stripe but 3 dots then a stripe that runs down to the spinneret similar to this
...____ , Any info would be nice, never seen a southern widow with dots let alone a stripe on its back wondering if maybe southern widow spiderlings have a different pattern and lose
it once they mature, she is a female solid black that ... _____ pattern on the top of her abdomen is orange and the hour glass commonly associated with widow's is orange as well, also
she does not have the red/orange spot usually seen on the tip of the abdomen where the spinneret is, (though i dont think all southern's have that anyways) just trying to find a definite way
to ID this to make sure we dont have anything more serious to worry about beings this was found at work in broken mortar in brick of our storage shed (the shed stays very hot mind you 110+)
and she isnt the only one there. Any help would be nice if you really need a pic i would prolly have to email the person the pic dont have a account to any image hosting site and honestly
dont want to create one for the purpose of 1 spider pic >.>. Thanks !
