Hey, guys! I'm back. ^_^ Haven't been around much lately, but I've got more mantids, so I'm gonna hang around for a while again.

On to the topic!

I had a ooth hatch on Wednesday, (my 5th out of 20!) and it hatched out a fair number. (you know, around 200-300 or so) and I left it in the cage with them until last night, when I decided it was safe to throw away. So I took it out after misting the nymphs (keep them busy drinking instead of trying to run out when the top's missing) and lo and behold, this morning when I got up, there were about 9 yellow-y/tan nymphs running around in my trash can. So I dug out the trash that was in there (luckily there wasn't much) and 'rescued' those little critters. I also took out the ooth an placed it in another container just in case any more wish to coem out late.

Silly critters. ^_^

Oh yeah, they often do a double-burst for me... most usually come out, then, a few hours later (up to a day) , The "slow" ones usually pop out. I usually leave the Ooth in the tank for a while, but I never saw 'em pop out long after the first ones wiggled out... :)

Yeah, i figured a day was enough to let 'em go. ^_^ I've kept some longer than that in the cage and had no more "late bloomers". *shrug*

I guess they just wanted to be difficult.

Thats happened to me before too. So now I wait a week or so before tossing itout.
