howdy folks,
I am working on a project with the CSU bug zoo
long story short, Maia, the coordinator, wanted mantises so I gave her a bunch, but then she made me take back some because she can't handle the things that won't eat crickets or roaches and such
I want us to display mantis diversity, so I decided I would make a display of dried specimens for us highlighting various different body plans
I want to preserve dead mantises well, and I am planning on freeze-drying them as soon as they die so they don't lose color
that being said, I am looking for good specimens of mantises that are in the last few weeks of their natural adult life
I will buy them or trade for some of the ooths/nymphs I have extras of
I am especially looking for:
any Deroplatys
Acanthops/Pseudacanthops/Metilia
Brunneria
Eremiaphila
Rhombodera
and anything else that isn't stuff I already have, which includes Creobroter, Pseudocreobotra, Hymenopus, Theopropus, Hierodula, Polyspilota, Oxyopsis, Zoolea, Pseudovates, Popa, Parasphendale, Otomantis, Galinthias, Odontomantis, Euchomenella, Calibia, and Blepharopsis
