hey all, lucanus capreolus, the reddish brown stag beetle, are out and about everywhere in CT and very common, i am able to catch well over a dozen in a good night of hunting and have decided to sell some to the peeps who dont have them in there area and are fascinated by them
they are stunning (not as stunning as lucanus elephus but pretty close to it and much easier to rear) nocturnal beetles that like substrate with a lot of rotting hardwood in it, keep the substrate very moist
larvae take about 2 years to mature and adults eat very little and can be fed fruit or syrup
adult males fight over females and are interesting to watch
i am selling adult males for $2 each and adult females (less common) for $6 each
also open to trades
just PM me for more info
