I have been to Spain last week to look for some mantis

start with the Mantis religiosa

This was the housemantis Carlos, very cool guy. Here on a beach chair. He always took the best one

Do you think, because we found a subadult female and we thought that it was female Iris oratoria

I do not understand what you are trying to say. I do think they are Iris oratoria and not Mantis religiosa, maybe I am wrong. I do not know "because we found a subadult female we thought that is was a female Iris oratoria" means?

Well we found, what looked like, a subadult Iris oratoria female. What i say is that i think your right and that they are Iris oratoria males. Because we know The specie is in that place.
