Do you enjoy any sports or outdoor activities Massaman? Things that would get you out of yr room and away from yr computer?

And before you even ask, the answer to the question about the lady and the mantis is Certainly Not!

Are you aware of any illicit androgenic anabolic steroids littering your male's enclosure? Does he catch the odd cricket or fly & smoosh its head against the wall? And lift pebbles over his head frequently? Chances are you have a female that is way too young for mating or your male mantis is on the juice ;)

What kind of mantids? Is this you trying to crossbreed?

yes it can. my sphodromantis male is longer than my female.
Beat me to the punch, Rick.

Males are smaller as a general rule but not all abide by this. Like I said, you're probably going to kill a female nymph, else, as Rick said, they aren't birds of a feather.

Yay, leveled up!

Males are often longer but they are much more lightly built (for flying) and are usually very petite and frail.

Yikes! You're probably right, Rick! I never even thought of a crossbreed despite the other post. He probably wants to mate a Chinese male and boxer female to make Chinese boxers. :D

Massaman: Put together a large male and much small female of different species, and you'll end up with a well fed male mantis!

Is this post from the same member who had a mantis molt a leg out of it butt, and then lost it? <_<

i did not actually lose it as one of my other mantids had chomped away at it and was too late to do anything about it and this is not a excuse its what happened and never had any strange things happen after that!
