Well until now iv been thinking my mantis has been female, 6 segments, until i looked closer and saw what looks like other segments! Yeah my eye sight isnt the best .

Can someone confirm the sex please?

Get a pic of the underside of the abdomen. If the last segment on the end is very large it is female.

I've noticed that even females have little segment splits within a segment, the very last to be precise. From your picture, it looks to be a female, though I am not sure. The bottom of the abdomen is the way to sex a mantis, otherwise the top will give you an eyesore from all those little segments. If you count the segments on the top, you can see there are 9 of them in total, the last larger one from the back being split into 3 on the front.

I didn't explain that very well, hopefully you can understand that because I can't very well.
