Mantis ate poop

my mantis was catching a cricket and as it was catching the cricket it caught some of its own day old poop in its claws aswell and ate the poop and the cricket. so i was wondering if my mantis was going to get sick from eating its day old poop?

apart from she wasnt going for a cricket.. she just went for the poop..

was pretty disgusting :s

A mantid will drop whatever it is eating as soon as it realises it is bad for it. And that's usually pretty quick.

Maybe feed it a little more, I know when mine are really hungry they grab for the poo if it moves at all, moves from us moving their container, I ment, not the poo moves by itself! but if it does, check it for worms

^haha no it didnt eat the poop on purpose it missed the cricket and got the poop stuck on its claws. then it grabbed the cricket and started eating it along with the poop lol. the mantis is still going strong btw. its prity big now. it just molted to L6 on May 30th.
