I have this lil Chinese mantid which is now at L3 I believe. She molted again last week and was a cool bright green. I was away until yesterday to return home to find that she has changed color drasically. She is now light brown with bright green eyes! Kinda awesome to look at actually. My question is the mother was typical of Chinese brown on top and green under. Do mantids pass on physical characteristics of the two "parents" or is this just a typical thing. The others are just the same as the mom was. But they are still nymphs so nothing to compare to.
