Mantis dreams

Are any of you so obsessed/absorbed with mantids you have dreams about them?

Last night I had a dream I found three O. scudderi females, one being an albino. I also dreamed that an ootheca of mine hatched, but the nymphs were tiny, circular specks and I had to be really careful when I transferred them into containers. :lol:

This isn't my first mantis oriented dream. I think I am way too obsessed with this hobby to be actually dreaming about them.

Talk about weird! Up until last night I have Never had a single dream of mantids nor entertained the thought. I have been caring for them since Sept. 2006. I am incubating my first Religosa ooth and last night for the first time, dreamed that just One emerged. This morning I go through my normal routine of getting my boys up and ready for school. Return home from driving them to find one very tiny hathling clinging to the to of the cup. :blink: I would not have even noticed him had he not jumped out on my hand. " Woha!" hey there little Religosa dude where the h*** did you come from??

Then the stinking dream pops into my head and i'm like weirded out. Go figure?!!!

I thought abuot it again a weeks or so later, next morning 2 ooths hatched!

I had a dream last night that they flies in the puape for the mantises hatched.... :blink:

Before I left for the freshmen class trip, I tried to mate my texicorns but they were EXTREMELY stubborn and would not mate. Two days later while sleeping in the cabin on the trip, I had a dream about them mating through the KK lid since they were in different containers... :blink:

:huh: No mantis dreams, but I was dreaming about their nasty dinner worms. Does that count?

I dreamed a small toddler fell into a lake and a big worm swollowed him up, I went to save him and got the worm, which then was small and fit into my hand, I tried to squeeze the boy out, but the worm was slippery, someone with big fingers had to pop him out. Yuck :blink: Yea that was my dream, I hate the superworms. When you grab them with the big tongs you can feel their strength, they wiggle out of them or hit the sides of the containers, and when I give them to the mantis, why you should see the fight! :lol:

Whoa!! Now that's some weird dream!! :blink: I can't even imagine such a dream. My dreams only get a little weird like flying and such!! But , the other sort of related dream to keeping mantids was of the stinking FFs getting out and were all over my apartment and there just was no way to get them all. They were all over the place. Then in real life I popped the foam piece thinking I shook off most of them down to just what I needed and when I lifted it off there were far more than I needed. Not to mention the fact that I was so concerned about catching them that I took too long to replace the foam so even more escaped into the ugly brown budget brand carpet management has laid in each apt. :wacko: I had to vacuum those buggers out or my boys and I would have been sleeping with them!! :angry:

When I was raising my first batch of mantises, I ALWAYS dreamed of them. Like, I'd dream of them molting because I'm always so worried about that.

i regularly have mantis dreams, dont know why. they usually involve me finding old disused containers in the shed or under the sink, and finding loads of new mantids in them.

I had a dream once I rode a really, really giant mantis across a huge waterfall when I was hiding in the attic. (??)

My dream was kinda brutal... I dreamt that I kicked my sisters bum when she shook up the box in which one of my I. laterali was moulting...

Geez! Does that mean, that i love mantids more than my family? :blink:
