One of my brothers must have opened the cage for my African Blue Clawed Mantis and let one out, so now i have to invest in either a new ABC or just a whole new pair of getting some other kind, im probably getting a pair of the Blue Flash Mantis', what do you guys think about that?

Are they very small? Mantids like to go high so you can probably find him. What species is a African Blue Clawed Mantis? When I first saw ABC I thought you had a choice to learn the ABCs or keep mantids.

If I'm not mistaken blue claw and blueflash are the same spp.

They r attracted to light

Also they like to hide behind furniture ;)

Hope this helps :)
None of my mantids did. I have kept Chinese Mantids, Statilia maculata, Narrow Winged Mantids and Pseudoharpax virescens.

Look underneath everything since they like to hang upside down. And look high in the room.

Check bookcases. When I lost my 2 chinese nymphs I found them waiting for me on my desk when I returned from school. That was lucky.

But later that month I lost another chinese nymph. I couldnt find him so I assumed he died. 2 months later I found him on my bookcase and he appeared to have molted once

Yeah, I had one get out once. I thought for sure the cat had gotten it. It was on the back of a box on the top of a bookshelf, higher than I can reach.

Adults usually do not go very far from their cage.

I have left them out all day and night on a fake plant in my living room and

that is were they stayed the whole time.

On the other hand, an escaped little nymph can be close to impossible to find.
