Mantis hasn't moved her right arm in a couple days but she's moved the other one. Almost as if its been stuck in this position. I don't know of anything that could've caused it...   Perhaps someone could help tell me whats wrong?

I have had several mantids who have lost movement in their raptors. I think some sort of an injury caused it. Once, my female Stagmomantis carolina got bit in the raptor by a Meadow Katydid, and lost the ability to move it. As far as healing goes, I'm not sure how to heal it.

I have had something like that happen to an adult Chinese mantis, due to old age.  First the tarsus fell off, and over the next couple months, the raptor started turning black, first just at the end and gradually farther up.  Eventually, he couldn't bend it anymore.  Beyond old age, it sounds like an injury could possibly cause it too.
