I was just thinking and I realized that you never see Eurpoean mantids on the market at all. It's pretty easy to come across Chinese and Carolina mantids on the forums and such, but not the M. religiosa. Is there any reason why? I thought they were one of the most widely distriubted species in the world. Maybe there's just no market for them. If I recall, they're the species that lead to the common name "Praying mantis". Any one know?

I love them as adults but they have always been hard to raise.

Yea, I have one adult left right now and will just have to wait till they lay outside now, then I will bring them in and sit on them till they hatch  ! Like a big mother hen  . They are hard to see cause they blend in with their surroundings so good, but they like the grass near the ground for laying, while the Chinese like the knee height, so if you are looking, look DowN! ;)
