Mantis Strange Behavior

Please help me. I came in and though my praying mantis had squeezed it's insides out, I think it may be an ootheca, but this mantis has never mated. Please reply as soon as possible, thanks.

Females will still lay Ooths even if they haven't mated.

thanks alot, do you have any advice on the ootheca and hatchlings ? that would be great since this is my first mantis and i wasnt prepared for this.

if the female hasn't been mated the ooth will be sterile (unless it's a parthenogenic species)

yes, the ooth will not hatch unless the female was mated.
