Mantis trying to lay very weak not doing well.

My friend mantis looks like it's trying to lay but can't she thought it died but is still alive and trying to lay anything she can do to help it? Been this way all night.

A photo would help answer many questions, and would provide a means to further help the mantis. If you could provide a photo or a link to one in it's habitat/container that would be great.

For most females adding additional perches (sticks, or dowel rods) that run from the top to bottom in the habitat, more plants (real or fake), or hot gluing several sticks/dowel rods across the lid of the mantis habitat will help. Some females can be picky on where they lay their ooths (ootheca - egg sac) and want just the right spot to do it. Best of luck.
