Mantisy love! Part Two

Couldn't help but post again. Got my Chinese mantises going at it tonight

This one took a little bit more work and a little more pushing to get him to figure out what he was supposed to do. It was scary at first because he hopped on and she swiped back at him. He had jumped on backwards though so she missed. Then he spun around and smacked her with his antennas and she gave in. My male (uncle Iroh) is the first mantis I've kept since I was a kid so I hope he makes it till tomorrow

Finally got the second pair to mate! It sure as heck took them long enough. The male has always been terrified of the female, probably because she's so freaking huge. Well I've been trying like every other night forever now to get them together, and tonight he just hopped on. All my adult mantids are mated now!
