Mating day!

surprisingly two pairs of mantids are at it for me today, first one is a pair of S carolinas, and my first T sinensis pair is finally breeding, tried the same female sinensis this morning, and came back to find a devoured male... but now is really full from the first one, so this male will be fine.

I mated two pairs of Stagmomantis carolina and two pairs of Tenodera sinensis last night. I have not had a T. sinensis eat a male yet. No matter how or what small container I put them together.. I must be lucky.

that was a first for me. he ate the feeder I put in for her the night before. Never jumped on I guess.

Right now I have a T. sinensis female eating an adult male. I think I might not have taken him out soon enough.
