Maturing Prematurely

My C. Gemmatus that died in September was sub-adult for over 3 and a half months! It was at a constant 80-85 degrees F. It also kept putting its abdomen to the floor like when some adult females do to "call" Is it possible she matured prematurely? She never became an adult and died?

That is odd. No idea what would cause that.
