IMG_5615.JPGIMG_5624.JPGIMG_5626.JPGI bought a new tank today, quite a small one (I've put a photo to show size, I've got some sterilised sticks drying out waiting to go in), my mantis is getting too big for the critter tub but still far too small for my other tank.  The new one seems ideal, it only cost 3 pounds, but the ventilation slots look like the fruit flies would escape.  So I bought a glue gun and some cheap plastic sieves, that had a fine mesh I could use, and set to work.  I would appreciate any advice on whether the mesh is suitable or if it would inhibit air flow in the tank.I've put a couple of photos of my handy work - I've not used a hot glue gun since school, I'd forgotten what it was like having burning glue sticking to your fingertips creating fine unbreakable webs   Oh well I'm sure I'll get better with practice!

The mesh looks fine for ff.

LOL  wet finger. close by bowl of water. no burned fingers.

And yes practice will help -did for me anyway.
