I was whipping up some enclosures for future arrivals this afternoon, and noticed a little mantis running around on my desk. Having no idea where it came from, I checked my ooth enclosures. and sure enough one of my Mesopteryx ooths had hatched. Francis is the mother of this ooth. It hatched 3 weeks and 4 days after being laid, misted twice daily and the ooth itself got a spritz every couple days. The temperature was kept around 80 for the whole time.

There's always escapees it seems

They move fast, and are really trying to run. just opening the lid for 5 seconds and snapping a burst of shots had quite a few of them escape. I think I've caught most of them.

There's 2 more ooths laid within a day of this one that have yet to hatch. I will be selling nymphs shortly it seems.
