Popas mated this morning, mesopteryx mating when I get up. Its a good day.

Not sure how long they've been connected. Just yesterday the female wouldnt let males touch her. This female is the only one I've ever seen thats brown like that, all the others are green.

I guess this is an advantage to keeping them in a community. Just wake up and they're mating. What a nice surprise.

This female was actually the third of four to molt to adult. For some reason the first 2 aren't ready yet. Maybe because this one is kept in a community and she had to deal with all that peer pressure.

These guys are feisty. I swapped Tattle for Cash to see if anyone wanted to mate with her and BAM Soup jumped on like lightning.

Introduced: 21:50, Mounted: 21:55, Connected: 21:57

Too many matings lol! :) ^-^ nice job michael!
Of all the mantids I've tried mating Mesopteryx know what they're doing the most. It takes no time at all for a male to jump on, and even if he's never seen a female before he knows the motions, the moves, where to put everything. Puts my old aeruginosa male to shame.
