Is it possible for a mantis to die during its shed? im looking at crazy legs shed right now and it looks almost like he shed from the ###### end and front end, its been about 20 minutes and it doesnt look like hes moving or squimishly squiming out of his old skin, not only that his hanging from the very end of one leg, swing around if theres any kind of wind, should i spray him? im scared =,(

I would leave him alone, some times it takes a while, I don't believe in spraying them, I do not think it helps. But I could be wrong.

How did it go man? It's been a couple of hours now so it has well an truly moulted by now, right? Normally they hang from their bums for a little while to dry out there exoskeleton. Bit worrying yours was hanging five (or tarsus ?)

no movement, hes dead, he had a really REALLY bad mismoult, his ###### grew out of the leg that was eatin and he hasnt changed sense hes molting halted, ill take pictures so you guys can know not to let there legs get eattin a week before molting =( hes had a horrible life and i fill so bad!
