My first  Tenodera  L7 to adult , catastrophic mismoult .

Last night ., This morn. after snipping and untangling.  I don't think that she will survive .

How are her raptors? The most important things I look at are the mouth parts, and if they can still pass frass. They need to eat properly, hopefully she'll survive with hand feeding perhaps :(

Poor ''Ocho'' was held in an unacceptable position for a long time , her wings dried and one raptor was folded under her ''chin'' . I misted her as soon as I found her then cut away the exuviae from the antennae and raptors.   She has been in traction all day and still some what mobile .

I am quite heart sunk . I have a mate lined up for her in his sub adult instar.

I would stay positive about the situation and see what happens, they're pretty resilient little things and will adapt to any handicaps. I've seen pictures of miss molted females still being able to mate and create ooths. If she can eat and poop she can do it! ?

Oh dear poor Ocho. That last molt is the worst and wow she did a number on herself. Hopefully she pulls through. I've been feeding my one handicapped adult banana since she molted to adult and she seems to be gaining strength. Remember you can always resort to banana or honey to try to get your mantis through a rough patch and back to solid food.

Requiem - for ''Ocho''  She had to be euthanized , after extraction & traction she was left struggling far too futilely.

Born on Christmas eve. Passed Apr. 7 ..... S
