Mite Questions

My subadult budwing mantis seems to have a noticeable (not sure if it is large or small) colony of mites on her eye. Will it disappear with her next molt?

I think they will get back onto him after he molts. Is it a female or a male?

Never heard of that. Can you get a pic?

If it is mites they should die with low humidity (just make sure your budwing isn't about to molt). Keep the humidity up for the mantis molt and down at other times, until the mites die off. I have heard that most mites need almost 100% humidity.

I'm not misting her THAT much...just one mist every other day.

It also depends on how good your ventilation is... I have never had a mites problem with any pets before though so this is just some "basic" stuff I have read to prepare for stuff in case it does happen.
